TEJ Intelligence funds Ankur Pathshala with ৳15 lakh to accelerate nationwide launch

Ankur Pathshala, an emerging EdTech platform focused on transforming secondary education in Bangladesh, has secured 15 lakh taka in funding from TEJ Intelligence to support the development and launch of its mobile application. This strategic investment marks a significant milestone in the journey to make high-quality, AI-assisted learning accessible to students across the country.

The Ankur Pathshala app is being developed for both Android and iOS, targeting students from classes 6 through 9–10. The platform is built with a clear objective: to provide students with intelligent, always-available academic support aligned with Bangladesh’s official curriculum.

AI-powered learning built on the national curriculum

At the core of Ankur Pathshala is its advanced AI teaching system. These AI-driven assistants, referred to as “Live Teachers,” are trained on the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) books. This ensures that every explanation, answer, and guidance provided to students is accurate, relevant, and directly aligned with their academic syllabus.

Students can interact with these AI teachers to ask questions, clarify concepts, and receive instant explanations from their textbooks—removing the limitations of time, availability, and access often associated with traditional learning environments.

Structured access to board books and study materials

To improve usability and learning efficiency, all board books are integrated into the platform and organized by chapters. Students can easily navigate through subjects and topics, accessing content in a structured and user-friendly manner.

In addition to standard textbooks in PDF format, selected subjects will include enhanced learning resources such as real-life handnotes and lecture sheets. These supplementary materials are designed to help students better understand complex topics and prepare more effectively for exams.

Social learning and collaboration

Recognizing the importance of peer learning, Ankur Pathshala introduces a built-in social platform where students can collaborate and engage with one another. The social feed allows users to share updates, post stories, ask academic questions, and seek help from the wider student community.

A unique aspect of this system is the integration of AI “Live Teachers” within the social environment. These AI entities actively participate in discussions, respond to queries, and guide conversations, creating a hybrid learning space that combines community interaction with intelligent assistance.

“Seeds”: short-form educational content

To make learning more engaging and accessible, the platform will feature a short-form video section called “Seeds.” This feature allows students to consume quick, informative, and entertaining educational content in a format similar to modern short-video platforms.

“Seeds” is designed to reinforce learning through concise explanations, tips, and concept breakdowns, while also incorporating light, engaging content to maintain student interest.

On-demand quizzes and continuous assessment

Ankur Pathshala places strong emphasis on active learning through its integrated quiz system. Students will be able to take quizzes on any chapter at any time, enabling them to evaluate their understanding and identify areas for improvement.

This on-demand assessment approach encourages consistent practice and helps students build confidence in their academic performance.

Gamified rewards and the Nut Shop ecosystem

To further motivate students, the platform incorporates a gamified reward system. Users can earn virtual currency known as “nuts” through daily logins, quiz participation, and overall engagement within the app.

These rewards can be redeemed in the “Nut Shop,” Ankur Pathshala’s official in-app e-commerce store. The shop will offer a variety of items, including clothing, cosmetics, electronics, and other products, creating a unique blend of education and incentives that encourages consistent usage.
